Neil Patrick Harris siempre ha hecho gala de su gusto por los musicales y no podía empezar en los Oscar de otra forma. La introducción ha sido un número musical más sencillo, pero igual de efectivo, de lo que Harris suele hacer, en el que el presentador ha contado con Anna Kendrick (Cenicienta en el musical de Into the woods.
Al final, Harris ha dejado claro su mensaje: Enamorarse de las películas, defender nuestros derechos, luchar por los sueños.
